Prayer for Ìlòrí’s enemies

 As I gazed  at the aerial view of Las Vegas,I  smiled and said ” Oyinbo ti lo!“. Yes ,we were on the 24th Floor of Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas  exactly four years ago to celebrate my wife Ronnie’s birthday.  Suddenly my phone rang : “Bad news! Ugly news!  Whaaaaatttt!!!!.”. I couldn’t believe what I heard. I stuck to where I was sitting and started checking Nigerian news ; but  lo and behold  the Internet had been bombarded with the news with different captions but same story!.

Today, we are  celebrating  Ronnie’s birthday again.  She  clocked 60  today, golden age. And I pray May my phone never  ring as it rang four years ago again!. 

      Now  I have been receiving nonsense messages not to write the promised Elérèwè story. Ó ba ìyá yin. Ko ni dáa fún eni ti o ba ni ki nstop! . Stop kó, stop ni. Mo ni mi o ni stop séè! .

      To those who sympathized with Chief Ìlòrí’s family members. To those who contributed morally, financially and otherwise  ,I say a big thank to you. To those who are fabricating unfounded stories about him Wàláítàlàì the same or worse thing will happen to you and your family .Those who are mocking him and refused to honour him ,HAAA!     nobody will honour you for you  will not only reap what you sow but reap it abundantly.

      If an High Chief could be killed just like that and nothing happened just like that then other chiefs are not safe in the hands of these assailants! Quote me. Then  it has become a norm . It has become na so e  dey be. It has become as usual. It has become na so we see am o. It has become na  normal thing ooo, Béè a ti riii ooo. No be new thing!. 

Shame on you , that is if you are one of those that betrayed the late Chief Ilori.  May Ògún l’aákaiye Osìn imolè hew  you into pieces. Are you one of those that fired the shots?. Now you are regretting !. Come on ,you have done your worse.

  But Come Messrs  Assailants , how much were you given? Dem pay you how much?. Now you must have finished spending the money . Shior! . Blood money. Owó èjè. Now it is too late! .Too late!!. Yes, you didn’t know it would go far like this! 

 Now while the fallen Chief was given a befitting burial you don’t know how you will end your life on this planet earth   ( of course they will gun you down one day. ,(He who kills by the 🗡️ …) And who knows where you will be buried? Wàláítàlàì ajá  lo maa jòkú yin gbogbo. You will not  be buried Insah Allah . 

             But remember that story of  “The Sailor and the Pearl Merchant”. This is a Persian tale . An old man who used to steal Pearls from the sea  tricked Abu’ Fawaris to a six months’ journey where  he used to bring pearls. One day ,he tricked Abu’ Fawaris, a Sailor to the island  of over six months’ sea journey. On getting there he asked this Sailor to go into the pits where the pearls were. This Sailor  filled the sacks  in the Ship. Instead of the old  Pearl Merchant to pull out  Abu’ Fawaris from the pit , he  abandoned him there  saying the Sailor might kill him and take his pearls . Abu’ Fawaris pleaded that he left his family behind and that he was a devoted Muslim who feared God and never had that evil  intention but all his pleadings felt into the old man’s deaf ears and he left. While struggling to get out , the Sailor found  human  bones in many pits . The thought now fell on the Sailor that this was what the old man had been doing. In the end God saved  the Sailor though he  went   through many trials and tribulations , but he came back home at last.

   

 

  One day the Sailor was again by the sea, and that same  old Pearl Merchant approached him! . The Sailor identified him but the old man did not and can never identify him since he believed he must  have died in the pit he left him.  The Sailor accepted his offer and took the old man to that same spot where he scooped his pearls. The Sailor pretended he was ignorant of the business and asked the old man to go into the pit before he went in. The old man scooped a lot from one pit to another. When he was tired and wearied ,he begged the Sailor that he had no energy again and that he was too old  to continue the job. “….Then the sailor turned upon him with fury, and cried out: “How is it that thou dost see ever thine own trouble and never that of others? Thou misbegotten dog, art thou blind that thou dost not know me? I am Abu’l Fawaris, the sailor, whom long ago you left in one of these pits. By the favor of Allah I was delivered, and now it is your turn. Open your eyes to the truth and remember what you have done to so many men.” The old man cried aloud for mercy, but it availed him nothing, for Abu’l Fawaris brought a great stone and covered up the mouth of the pit”.

 

 

    You murderers  of Ìlòrí you   have killed many, a day of reckoning will come when you will beg for mercy like the old  Pearl Merchant man in the above story and no mercy will be given.

After many years  of Oliver Cromwell’s death , his body was exhumed and was beheaded at Tyburn, London. The head was put on a spike at  Abbey Westminster for all to see because of his wickedness while alive. What of the Roman Emperor Valerian? He was flayed alive.

BURIAL OF ELEREWE 

     Everything had been prepared to give the fallen Hero a befitting burial. Close family members and a few  trusted friends were there  to give the fallen hero a befitting burial. But, a big ‘BUT’.  Did they strike? Did they behave like the Yoruba  Actor , Bàbá Wande in the Yoruba Film of the popular , TI OLÚWA Ni ILÈ?. Did they allow them to bury the corpse? . Yes they could be afraid that if buried , Ìlòrí’s spirit might fight back! . Who doesn’t know the power of  African Traditional beliefs and potency in the words            ” Àse” “Ofo”, Èpè? We all know the power of  juju, Àfòse, Àse and Èpè? .Even there is curse in the Bible. Did Elisha not curse Gehazi? Afterall Jesus cursed the fig tree. And Woe to  that Man who will betray Jesus Christ.

Haaaa!  that day fear gripped the suspected assailants!. If na you nko?. Who will not be afraid of ghost or spirit of the dead ?.
